CONTRAINDICATIONS

Not everyone is an ideal candidate for microblading. Below is a list of contraindications that can have an affect on treatment. If you have one or more of the contraindications below you may not be eligible for treatment. Please contact us and we would be happy to answer any of your questions.

  • Under 18 years of age

  • Have very oily skin

  • Previous microblading or permanent makeup (contact us for approval)

  • Transmittable blood conditions such as HIV or Hepatitis

  • Hemophilia

  • Diabetic (doctor’s approval required)

  • Pregnant or breastfeeding

  • Autoimmune disorders

  • Thyroid conditions

  • Prone to keloids or Post-inflammatory/hydro-pigmentation

  • Currently taking blood thinning medication

  • Skin conditions around the eyebrows (psoriasis/dermatitis, eczema, keratosis pilaris, chronic acne, rosacea, rashes)

  • Chemotherapy/radiotherapy (doctor’s approval needed)

  • Have taken any skin medications such as accutatne, roaccutane, or steroids within the last year

  • Healing disorders

  • High blood pressure

  • Any heart conditions

  • Epilepsy

  • Botox administered in 3 weeks prior to appointment in the eyebrow and/or forehead area

  • Allergic reactions to anesthetics and/or pigments (if unsure, patch test can be done)
