What is Microblading?

Microblading is innovative semi-permanent tattoo technique using a manual tool that implements pigments into the skin to create incredibly natural and realistic eyebrows.

Microblading is ideal for anyone wanting to enhance the look of their eyebrows. Whether you have little to no brow, thinning or over-plucked brows. The results are beautiful, natural hair-like strokes, creating realistic brows

Am I a good candidate for Microblading?

Unfortunately, not everyone will be a good candidate for microblading. We are happy to consult with you to determine if you are a good candidate for microblading. However, I cannot perform the procedure on those that are pregnant, breastfeeding, have any type of heart issue, autoimmune disorder, or have recently undergone chemotherapy.

How long does Microblading take?

For the first Microblading session, the entire procedure should take about 2.5 - 3 hours. The client is to come in for a follow up visit in order to have any minor necessary touch ups. The second session takes place within 8 weeks of the initial session. This session will take approximately 2.5 hours to complete.

How long does it take to heal?

The healing process takes a complete 28-30 days. During this time your brows will go through many phases while healing. After the procedure the color will appear very dark and prominent. This is normal for the procedure and part of the healing process. The color will fade by up to 20%-30% and some strokes may completely disappear. The brows typically shrink in size during this stage. While healing the brows may scab and naturally flake. Do not pick at the scabs as this may cause damage to the skin and the outcome of the microbladed area. It takes approximately 1 month for the “true” color of your brows to fully set in and reveal itself. No down time is required after your microblading procedure. This is all normal part of the process and why a “Perfection Session” is necessary.

Does Microblading hurt?

The pain level for the procedure is considered mild to none. It is compared to the feeling of tweezing two hairs at a time. After the “first pass" of skeleton strokes a application of numbing gel is used, little to no feeling is noticeable. Topical anesthetics used may contain lidocaine, prilocaine, benzocaine, tetracaine, and epinephirne.

After the procedure, redness, slight swelling, and tenderness in the area is normal. Clients can take Tylenol, but not aspirin or ibuprofen.

How long does it last?

Since microblading pigments are not implanted into the skin as deep as traditional tattoos. The area will naturally fade overtime. Microblading typically lasts 12-18 months, depending on skin type (normal, oily, dry), age (youthful/mature), and lifestyle. Oily skin will likely cause pigments to fade faster and may require more frequent touch-ups. Skincare routine will also affect the lasting effect of the pigment: clients who tan, uses products with AHA or Glycolic Acid will fade faster as your skin will regenerate faster. Each individual’s color retention within skin will vary. To maintain the brows looking fresh, a touch up is recommended every 12-18 months. Clients can let the microbladed area fade over time, but please note a slight shadow may remain.
