Post-Treatment Care

It is imperative you follow the aftercare instructions exactly as outlined. Failure to do so, can result in poor healed results, and in some cases infection can occur if eyebrows are not properly cleaned or cared for. ALWAYS cleanse hands before handling eyebrows.

Day 1

Cleanse brows EVERY HOUR with sterile water and neutral soap to remove all lymph and blood. Pat dry with tissue and apply a thin layer of provided ointment (1/2 a rice size amount per brow) ointment with a clean q-tip, avoid using fingers. Do not suffocate brows, brows should be lightly glossed. The ointment should last an entire 7 days. Failure to cleanse every hour can result in scabbing. If the procedure was done in the evening and you are not able to wash your brows at least four times, please apply a plastic wrap over each brow after you wash and apply ointment before bed.

Days 2-7

Keep brows dry. Apply a very thin layer of provided ointment with a clean q-tip, avoid using your fingers. Repeat process 3 times a day to keep the wound clean and avoid scab formation.

What to avoid during the first 7 days

All creams/ointments/SPF except what is provided for you (if ointment is lost during healing process, please contact us)

DO NOT WET/SWEAT eyebrows until they have completely peeled.

Saunas and steam rooms

Please do not rub, pick, or scratch your eyebrows.

No makeup

What to avoid for the Next 30 days

Botox (in the brow area for 2-3 weeks)

No skin regiments or make-up on your eyebrows while they are healing.

No laser hair removal treatments close to eyebrow region

No sauna, jacuzzi, or swimming in chlorine pools or recreational bodies of water until eyebrows are completely healed.

Do not expose eyebrows to direct sunlight/tanning beds in the next 4 weeks for long periods.

If there is EXCESSIVE swelling, redness, tenderness with elevated body temperature or purulent drainage from the procedure site, contact your physician as the area may be infected.

Failure to follow these instructions may result in discoloration or pigment loss

THERE IS NO GUARANTEE OF THE LONGEVITY OF RESULTS. Everyone’s results will vary due to skin type, lifestyle, how well they cared for their eyebrow tattoo during the healing process AND how well they care for their eyebrow tattoo in the months after.

Use sunscreen over brows. Exposure to the sun over time can cause fading and discoloration of the pigment.

Laser to brow areas can destroy the pigment and cause burns.

Skin regiments or chemical exfoliates will cause premature fading.

This procedure is a two-step process. (Initial procedure and touch up procedure.) After that, a yearly ‘Color Boost’ is recommended to maintain your color’s integrity. Shen eyebrows fade over time, they will look less defined and become faint in color.
